Jen Graves

Jen joined Access Living as the Skills Group Facilitator at the beginning of this year. She has experience working in mental health and health care, providing community-based rehabilitation, case management, crisis de-escalation, and suicide prevention services. She has a strengths-based perspective to helping, aiming to help clients develop skills for a life worth living. She takes an eclectic approach, drawing from motivational interviewing, DBT, and ACT.

Jen has a bachelor's degree in psychology with an emphasis in addictions. She will finish her masters in social work at Boise State University later this year. Additionally, she has extensive training in suicide prevention, holding a certification as a Crisis Helpline Specialist from the International Council for Helplines.

Jen’s favorite part of skills groups is witnessing client growth. Group members bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a willingness to learn to each group. Her favorite coping skills are taking her dog, Jasper, on walks, reading, baking sourdough, spending time with friends, and listening to music.
