Hattie Bates, Counseling Intern
Hattie is a compassionate counseling intern who approaches her work through a warm, client-centered lens. She believes that each person carries an inner capacity for healing, connection, and transformation.
She blends approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) to support clients in reconnecting with their most authentic selves.
With a holistic focus on the mind-body-feelings connection, Hattie incorporates mindfulness, somatic practices, and creative expression through art to foster deeper self-awareness. She works with teens, adults, couples, and families, offering trauma-informed care for those navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, or relationship challenges.
